CLASSIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDICAL SPA HOTELS

Explanation of the category:
Medical spa hotel is a recognised hotel licensed to provide medical care outside hospitals that specialises primarily in various rehabilitation, dietary and medical spa services (e.g. massage therapy, exercise therapy, water exercise therapy, etc.).

The classification of medical spa hotels (using stars) is based on:
1) correspondence to the 'hotel' category of accommodation companies;
2) correspondence to the classification requirements (Annex 2) and additional requirements (Annex 3) in the 'medical spa' category.

The classification (stars) the hotel is applying for is granted if the classification requirements for hotels and spas of the relevant category have been met.

For example:
A medical spa hotel that is applying for three stars must meet the requirements set for hotels and also the requirements set for three-star medical spas.

The number of stars indicating the classification is used in design alongside the logo of the Estonian Spa Association.
