Fra Mare Thalasso Spa

Situated by the sea in the Paralepa pine forest, Fra Mare Thalasso Spa is located in the resort town of Haapsalu, 100 km from Tallinn. The beach is just 50 metres from the spa.

In its time, Haapsalu has won the hearts of Russian tsars and world-famous composers. Here you will find the ruins of an ancient Episcopal castle, avenues of charming wooden villas, a wide range of museums and some very cosy cafés.

Accomodation

The hotel has 95 3-star spa rooms, three family rooms, three junior suites and 20 Thalasso superior rooms with spacious balconies. All rooms are en suite (with a toilet and shower) and come with a TV and telephone. There is a free car park for guests. Free WiFi is also available in the hotel. Fra Mare Thalasso Spa is a 3-star hotel as accredited by the Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Association.

THERAPY & TREATMENT

Haapsalu is famed for its sea mud, sea water, sea air and seaweed, and the spa makes good use of them all to provide its guests with complete relaxation and effective treatment. A wide range of Thalasso treatments are offered at the spa: aroma mud therapy; exfoliating and moisturising body treatments; seaweed baths; floating therapy; sea water pool therapy with music; SAD light therapy; and much more.

Fra Mare Thalasso Spa is also a rehabilitation centre, offering a variety of sanatorium procedures: classic physiotherapy; massages; paraffin therapy; aqua therapy; salt chamber; and of course the renowned Haapsalu mud therapy. The spa’s resident doctor draws ups appropriate treatment plans for guests. The Estonian Spa Association has granted Fra Mare Thalasso Spa 3-star treatment spa status.

Meals

Lovers of fine food will appreciate the Mediterranean menu at Bergfeldt, the spa’s à la carte restaurant, which seats up to 40 diners.

The spa also has a 148-seat buffet restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The special dietary needs of guests are always taken into account.

You can also relax in the cosy armchairs of the spa’s coffee lounge and in its lobby bar. A terrace café with lovely sea views is open during the summer months.

Sauna centre

The new Thalasso Day Spa pool and sauna centre boasts a sea water pool with special features, a Jacuzzi for up to 8 people and a terrace with an outdoor pool. There is also a steam sauna, a salt sauna, 90° C and 70° C Finnish saunas, an infrared sauna and a sanarium. An experience in itself is the heliotherapy room, whose heated benches make it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sea views after visiting the saunas.

Seminars

Fra Mare is an ideal place for business meetings and seminars. The spa has two fully equipped seminar rooms, for up to 25 and up to 60 people, respectively.

Sport

Paralepa forest has two walking trails, measuring 3 km and 5 km. The spa lends out Nordic walking equipment, bicycles and (in winter) skis.
